John Deere workers reject agreement
The striking workers at John Deere voted reject their second tentative labor agreement on Tuesday. While the last rejection was by a 90% vote, this one was much closer with only 55% opposed. The UAW said the strike against John Deere will continue as they discuss next steps with the company and the company says they will proceed with the next phase of their customer service continuation plan. A separate agreement with the same terms was accepted at two John Deere facilities in Atlanta and Denver so the strike will only continue at the other 12 locations.
