On Thursday, employees at Gawker published a blog post outlining their plans to unionize. The employees hope that they will be able to easily engage in collective bargaining with their employer if they unionize. Employees of Gawker had been interested in unionizing for quite some time, but this is biggest step they have taken toward it.
