U.S. District judge David heard in Utica, New York has temporarily blocked the state from requiring healthcare workers to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The mandate, that was meant to go into effect on September 27th, does not allow for exemptions based on workers religious beliefs. On Monday, 17 health care professionals filed a lawsuit stating that they object to receiving the vaccines because “the cell lines of aborted fetuses were used in their testing and development.” New York has until September 22nd to respond to the lawsuit and an additional hearing will take place on the 28th.
