Judge OKs Delta Pension Deal With Group
The judge handling Delta Air Line's bankruptcy case approved an agreement between the airline and the Delta Pilots' Pension Preservation Organization (DP3), just ahead of an anticipated request on the part of Delta to terminate its pension obligations. DP3 represents more than half of Delta's 5,300 retired pilots, of which 3,642 are eligible for payments from the $9 million fund established by the agreement.
