Junior Doctors Set to Hold More Strikes
Junior doctors in England have just scheduled three strikes, two in March and one in April, in response to the escalating conflict between the government and the British Medical Association. The strikes, which are expected to each last 48 hours, are in response to a new contract that could cut doctors' pay and force them to work on Saturdays. The ministers backing this contract believe that it will improve services in the hospitals.
