Jury Finds for AMD in Discrimination Lawsuit
Walid Maghribi, a former employee of Advanced Micro Devices Inc., alleged in a lawsuit that the company discriminated against him because of his race and religion. Maghribi, a Muslim, claims that company executives inquired about his religion and made questionable comments. Maghribi alleges that following this he was given unfavorable job assignments, and in protest he quit. The jury found no connection between the executives' remarks and Maghribi's departure, agreeing instead that he quit for business related reasons.
