Justices Side With Labor Department in Overtime Pay Dispute
On Monday, the Supreme Court Justices ruled that mortgage brokers qualified under federal law to receive overtime wages. This ruling further supported the Department of Labor's recent decision to make mortgage brokers eligible for overtime wages. Back in 2006, the Labor Department ruled that mortgage brokers were executives and did not qualify to receive overtime wages. This rule was reversed in 2010.
