Kaiser Permanente and the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions reach tentative agreement covering nearly 100,000 health workers
Hospital chain Kaiser Permanente and the unions who represent nearly 100,000 of its employees have reached a tentative three-year agreement. The agreement includes a wage increase for employees each year, the same benefit plans, as well as money for educational purposes. In addition, the contract also covers employee education, workplace environment and other measures aimed at improving the health of workers. Both sides say that they are happy with the outcome of negotiations. The labor management partnership between the two groups has been in place since 1997. Workers will vote to ratify the agreement.
