Kaiser Permanente reaches an agreement
Union leaders have come to a tentative agreement with Kaiser Permanente, avoiding a huge strike. Thousands of employees of Kaiser threatened to walk out on Monday and strike, which could have disrupted patient care at hospitals. The tentative contract will be 4 years and include wage increases each year as well as a new bonus plan. Voting is set to occur over the next few weeks and once ratified, the agreement will be retroactive to October 1st, 2021.
