Fast food workers and labor activists demonstrated Thursday in Kansas City, protesting Andy Puzder, the choice of President-elect Drumpf to head the Department of Labor. Puzder is the CEO of CKE Restaurants, which owns the Hardee's and Carl's Jr. fast food franchises, and has been a vocal critic of the labor movement, particularly recent proposed changes to federal overtime law. The rally was organized by members of the Fight for $15 movement, which seeks to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
