Kansas workers sue meat-packing plant over wages
Workers at a Kansas slaughterhouse are suing their employer for unpaid wages and overtime. The suit was filed on behalf of the 2,000 employees at the plant. Workers say that they are not paid for the time that they spend putting on and taking off protective clothing, as well as other tasks required by their job. The suit is the latest in a series against the meat-packing industry, pushing them to change their practices.
