Kentucky gets $15 million in stimulus funds for youth jobs program
Kentucky will receive $15 million in funding from the federal government's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for the Kentucky Summer Youth Employment Program. The funding will help provide training and paid work to thousands of at-risk young adults through local workforce investment boards located throughout the state. The program targets individuals 14-24 years old who have little education, or are homeless, runaways, pregnant, or convicted of a crime.
