A woman has issued a statement claiming that she was forced to pick pecans beginning at the age of thirteen at a polygamous sect in Southern Utah. The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, run by Warren Jeffers, was fined over $1.9 million back in 2012 when the incident was first investigated by federal authorities. Lawyers representing some of the workers are demanding that their clients be compensated for the work they did on the farm.
