Korean American Flight Attendants File Bias Suit
Six Korean American flight attendants, all U.S. citizens, are suing Korean Air claiming that the airline discriminated against them. The employees were hired as part of the airline's "American regional flight attendants" group for their language ability and cultural knowledge. The women claim that the airline laid off the entire American flight attendants group, even as it hired Korean nationals and that Korean Americans employees were denied the same promotional opportunities and benefits as other employees.
