Kuwait customs workers strike over pay
Kuwaiti customs workers went on strike Tuesday over wages. Workers last demonstrated in October, with 3,000 workers taking part in a walk-out. The government said that the strike was not effecting the ports or oil shipments. The government increased wages by 25% for state workers on Monday, after a year of strikes and protests over stagnant wages and increasing inflation.
