L.A. Mayor and City Unions Reach an Agreement
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has come to a tentative agreement with civilian city employee unions. The tentative agreement includes a deal that will avoid layoffs and furloughs for the next six months. Additionally, the deal will accomplish the listed tasks by postponing raises for workers until the summer of 2022. The Coalition of L.A. City Unions, has also scheduled to postpone a 2% raise that was scheduled for this month, and another 2% raise that was scheduled for June.
