Label vote slated on status of union at St. Vincent
Union and anti-union officials will finally get to find out who has the greater influence over the 1200 UAW-represented nurses at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. A National Labor Relations Board spokesman announced yesterday that a union decertification election has been scheduled for April 11-13 by agreement of both sides and hospital officials. The deal comes on the heals of a ruling last month on a complaint by a hospital worker that union representatives had attempted to coerce and intimidate workers involved in the effort to dump the UAW.
