Labor Board Complaining Over Cablevision's Tactics
The National Labor Relations Board says that Cablevision is illegally avoiding reaching an agreement with cable installers in Brooklyn. The Board says that it will issue a complaint against the company for engaging in bad-faith bargaining. The Board says that Cablevision is refusing to meet on a regular basis and makes unreasonable proposals. Brooklyn workers voted to join the Communications Workers of America 15 months ago, and the two sides have been on edge since. The 250 workers are the only ones among Cablevision's 17,000 workers to organize. The company denies the Board's claims, and says that they are bargaining in good faith.
