Labor Complaints Says Allegheny Technologies Lockout Illegal
The National Labor Relations Board has ruled that the lockout of 2,200 workers by Allegheny Technologies was illegal. Allegheny Technologies is one of the largest and most diversified produces of specialty materials with approximately 9,700 full-time employees. The NRLB complaint was filed Thursday after the two sides tried to reach a contract resolution. The lockout began on August 15 and involved workers at 12 plants in Pennsylvania as well as five other states. Allegheny has till February 25 to file a response.
