Labor Department Wins1.9 Million in Back Pay for Janitors
After a two year investigation, the Labor Department has announced a back pay settlement of $1.9 million on behalf of janitors employed at Global Building Services, a company that provides contract cleaning services to Target Corporation. Among the violations, it was discovered that the contractor was paying a flat rate in cash to the employees with no overtime, payroll taxes or workers compensation.
