Labor Dept. Settles Suit Against Enron
The Labor Department has settled a suit on behalf of Enron employees whose retirement plans vanished when the company imploded. About $356 million will be set aside from the proceeds of Enron's assets to cover some of the loss retirement and pension plan benefits. The settlement does not include pending claims against former Enron top officials.
