Labor Groups Accuse McDonald's of Avoiding European Taxes
The European Federation of Public Service Unions and the Service Employees International Union have accused McDonalds of avoiding taxes by moving its headquarters to Switzerland. The groups claim that the company owes the European government close to $1 billion in lost revenue. Representatives of the company maintain that McDonalds has complied with all tax laws within the countries it operates in.
