Labor showdown looms for Northwest Airlines
Northwest Airlines Corporation and its flight attendants are headed to bankruptcy court today, and the outcome could be anything from a strike to a return to the bargaining table. The flight attendants rejected a tentative agreement by a huge margin on Tuesday, and they may be joined by the ground crews today. These developments are the latest in a series of events which has taken Northwest from what looked to be a minor reorganization to a possible strike-induced shutdown in only a few days.
