Labor Trouble With Pilots Deepens at Republic Airways
Last week, Republic Airways proposed its final contract to its employees who are members of the Teamster group. The employees are hesitant to sign this new contract because some of the language has been changed from original proposal that was drafted during negotiations. Even though the company has offered to increase pay of co-pilots by 74%, the union members argue that other regional airlines will still offer higher pay than Republic Airways. If this dispute continues, major airline flights operated by the company will be affected.
