Labor union files federal lawsuit over Indiana's 'right to work' law
An Indiana local of the International Union of Operating Engineers is suing the Governor of Indiana, the Attorney General and the state Labor Department commissioner. The suit argues that the law violates the constitutions of Indiana and the United States. The state says that it was within its rights to take the actions it did. Indiana's right to work law was passed earlier this month, making it the 23rd state in the country to have such a law.
