Labor unions cheer after Trump's OPM nominee withdraws
George Nesterczuk has withdrawn his name from consideration to lead the Office of Personnel Management, prompting celebration from labor unions who banded together to oppose his nomination. Sixteen unions had contacted senators in a letter citing Nesterczuk's involvement in the controversial National Security Personnel System, which was repealed in 2009, as well as his as an adviser to the Ukrainian government. In his letter asking for his nomination to be withdrawn, Nesterczuk referenced the opposition his confirmation would have faced.
