Labor Watchdog Posts Billboards in Tennessee to Reach VW Workers
Multiple anti-union billboards were placed in and around Chattanooga, Tennessee in anticipation of the Union Certification Vote that will take place in the VW factory there next week. The group sponsoring the billboards is the Center for Worker Freedom, an anti-union group funded by Americans for Tax Reform. Groups like the Center for Worker Freedom have felt that the unionization campaign in the VW plant has been too one sided given that the company has refused to allow anti-union speakers to directly address its workforce at the plant. The vote encompasses 2,500 employees begins February 12th and ends on February 14th.
