Over 80 employees of the LAPD have tested positive for COVID-19 this week. This is double the rate from last week, while the vaccination rate remains under 50%. The LA City Council announced last week that all city workers, including police officers, must be fully vaccinated by October. The City Council President said of the mandate, “This is not radical. This is just common sense.”
