Last bid to avert tanker strikes
Members of the Unite union and Hoyer UK and Suckling Transport, the employers of the 600 tanker drivers that union represents, are continuing negotiations in the hope of averting a four-day strike that could disrupt Shell fuel shipments in the United Kingdom. The dispute, which revolves around the pre-overtime wages earned by the drivers, will begin on Friday if no agreement is reached.
