Law firm, Cooley, to adopt a hybrid model
Silicon Valley law firm, Cooley, has announced to employees that a return to the office will not be mandatory for the remainder of 2021 and starting Labor Day anyone who wishes to enter the office will have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The memo to employees also signaled that post-2021, the company will adopt a hybrid work model. Many other firms are making similar moves toward hybrid work despite Morgan Stanley’s chief legal officer warning that lawyers working in office “will have a significant performance advantage over those that do not.” A recent survey revealed that only 11% of law students born between 1995 and 2000 expect to work fully in office.
