Li Ka-Shing's Port Workers Widen Protests After New Wage Offer
Hundreds of Hong Kong port workers are continuing their protest after rejecting a pay raise offer. The workers, who have been on strike for three weeks, were offered a 7% increase, well below the 23% that they are demanding. The workers say that they are disappointed with how negotiations have been going so far. The strike has caused ships to be diverted from the port to others. About 300 crane workers are staging a work-to-rule protest in support of the dock workers.
