Denver officials hosting the 2008 Democratic National Convention met Monday with officials from Boston to share ideas regarding the solution to labor issues that threaten to derail the convention. Boston, which hosted the 2004 convention, was threatened with picketing by a local police union until just before the event began. Denver won its bid to host the convention despite the AFL-CIO's refusal to agree not to strike during the event.
