Likely labor regs would aid vets, disabled, unions
With confirmation of Thomas Perez as head of the Labor Department, a number of previously bottlenecked regulations are expected to pass through the agency. Among other things, the forthcoming regulations are aimed at boosting employment for veterans and the disabled, as well as propping up unions in organizing campaigns. In his work in the Justice Department and as labor secretary in Maryland, Perez has a history of advocating for workers? rights.
