Project Income aims to help disabled people expand their employment opportunities. The goal of the program is to focus on what the person wants, and find them a job that they will enjoy. The program will offer job-training courses, but also help a small number of people start their own businesses. Supporters of the program feel that self-employment will allow disabled people to earn better wages and take more enjoyment in their work.
