Local New Jersey newspaper to transition to fully remote working model
The Courier-Post, a local newspaper in New Jersey, has announced to employees that everyone will be shifting to a fully remote working environment starting in 2025. Currently workers have varying working arrangements, with some employees going into the office five days a week, workers who work a hybrid schedule and go in person a few days a week, and fully remote workers. The Courier-Post is owned by Gannett, the largest US newspaper publisher. Gannett has stated that it supports flexible working models and prioritizes its workers and technology, instead of real estate and physical offices. The Courier-Post also said that the change in the working model will not have any effect on the quality of reporting.
