Long-term unemployed turn home for economic survival
Many job seekers are seeing their unemployment benefits run out without finding another job. For these people moving back home seems their only option as rent payments become impossible to make. This phenomenon is not limited to recent college graduates, as even professionals with years of job experience are finding themselves in this predicament as their savings dwindle. In an effort to address this issue, President Bush signed a bill last month extending jobless benefits through December.
