Lufthansa applies for injunction to try to stop strikes
As Lufthansa’s pilots plan their second week of striking, the airline has responded by petitioned for a temporary injunction to prevent the strikes from disrupting its service. After failed negotiations on both Friday and today, Vereinigung Cockpit, the pilots’ union, is planning on walkouts for both Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Over 2,800 flights were cancelled by Lufthansa last week after the pilots walked out for 4 days. This marks the pilots’ 15th strike since April.
