Lufthansa Cabin Crew Union Calls Members Out on Strike
Yesterday, cabin crew employed by Lufthansa confirmed that they would begin a strike today, but gave no further details. The airline has been trying to cut costs in an effort to compete with other low cost European carriers. These employees are negotiating to secure transition payments for 19,000 unionized members for when they retire. These strikes are not expected to happen until after midday.
