Lufthansa CEO Defends Cost Cuts as Pilots Threaten More Strikes
Over the last eighteen months, pilots employed by Lufthansa have staged more than a dozen strikes which have cost the company millions of euros. The CEO of the company recently issued a statement saying that he would not give in to the pilots' demands even if it meant facing more strikes. Lufthansa is currently trying to cut costs in an effort to stay competitive against low-cost airlines such as Ryanair.
