On Wednesday, pilots with Lufthansa plan to participate in a one day strike. In the past several months, Lufthansa has experienced many short-term strikes by the pilots. The airline has proposed plans to cut transition payments that would negatively impact pilots who plan to retire early. Talks between the airline and union have been unsuccessful so far.
