Lufthansa pilots announced earlier this week that they would participate in a walkout on Wednesday of this week. Now the pilots also plan to remain on strike through Thursday. Approximately 80,000 passengers' travel plans were affected, as Lufthansa was forced to cancel 750 of its scheduled flights. The pilots and employer are in the midst of negotiations over retirement benefits.
