Pilots with Lufthansa went on strike Monday causing two thirds of the short-haul flights to be grounded. On Tuesday, the pilots extended their strike in order to impact long-haul flights. The strike has caused 1,500 flight cancellations and has affected 160,000 passengers? travel plans so far.
