Maine gov signs workers comp, unemployment bills
Maine's governor signed three laws that he says will help the state's economy. the bills make changes to workers' compensation, unemployment benefits and clarify the definition of independent contractors. the changes to workers' compensation include a time-limit on benefits and changes to egibility and compensation. The changes to unemployment include work searches, and penalties for misconduct. Opponents of the bills say that they will reduce benefits for those who need them.
