Manhattan: Waiters Sue Steakhouse
The Old Homestead steakhouse in Manhattan, New York, has been sued by four of its employees. The employees, represented by Louis Pechman of the law firm Berke-Weiss & Pechman LLP, allege that the steakhouse managers improperly operated a tipping pool, denying the workers overtime and minimum wages. The suit alleges that the restaurant owes the waiters over $1 million in lost income over a six-year period.
