Manufacturing in U.S. Expands at Faster Pace Than Forecast
For the fifth straight month U.S. manufacturing grew, and during this past month outpaced most predictions. Some economists went so far as to predict that this may be one sign of a sustained global recovery. In addition to U.S. manufacturing, Chinese, South Korean, and Norwegian manufacturing also saw an increase in growth. Switzerland, Sweden, and Denmark saw slowing growth for October. Executives of manufacturing firms remain tentative in their future projections, despite reports of growth, mainly because of the uncertainty in Washington.
