Many Workers Have Savings Below $25K: EBRI
A new survey has found that 60% of workers have less than $25,000 in savings and investments. Only 14% of those surveyed said that they were very confident in their ability to retire comfortably. According to the survey, about half of workers do not have a retirement plan through their employers. Analysts say that low confidence in retirement savings may lead to people saving more in the long run because they are worried. Workers also cited uncertainty with their current economic situations as a reason for lower retirement saving.
