Mattel Underpays, Overworks China Workers, Group Says
A new report from China Labor Watch says that Mattel's factories in China underpay workers, force workers to work overtime and have a lack of safety training. The report found that manufacturing plants owned by Mattel and used by its suppliers require overtime hours six times greater than the legal limit and do not have adequate safety provisions. Mattel said that they conduct regular inspections of their plants, and expect them to comply with labor regulations.
