McDonald's Asks Judge to Toss Out U.S. Labor Board's 'Massive'' Subpoena
Currently, the McDonald's Corporation is in the midst of a case that will determine whether the company should be considered a joint employer of people hired within its franchises. The company is currently asking a judge to reject a subpoena that was filed by the National Labor Relations Board. McDonald's claims that it has already spent over $1 million to produce documents pertinent to the case, while the company only owes approximately $50,000 if it is found guilty of violating laws within 29 of its franchises.
