McDonald’s workers fired for union activities win their case
The NLRB has ruled that a Connecticut McDonald’s franchisee unlawfully fired workers for union activity in 2020. The franchisee furloughed many employees with the onset of COVID-19 and called them all back to work a few weeks later, except for four union supporters. The four fired workers participated in a public union campaign prior to the pandemic. The Administrative Law Judge for the case ordered that the workers be reinstated and given backpay.
