McDonald’s workers protest sexual harassment in the workplace today
Several hundred workers across the U.S. participated in a protest against McDonald’s. Today, McDonald’s workers in 12 U.S. cities walked off the job to call for reform of the “continuing problem of sexual harassment and violence in the company’s stores.” This is the 5th walk off of McDonald’s employees over issues with the company’s handling of sexual harassment in stores since 2018. Employees say they want McDonald’s to directly be held accountable for harassment and not its franchisees.
